Jay Winter
Show Feed Specialist

My name is Jay Winter. I was raised and still live near Lubbock, Texas. I am a National Account Manager for Sunglo Feeds. I work with several of our Sunglo Distributors on a daily basis to keep them updated on new management practices. I enjoy working with the young people and their projects and continue staying very busy with producers.

I have used Sunglo products for 20 years and have worked for the company for 11. I was raised on a cotton, grain sorghum and purebred hog operation until college, where I attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University.

• My wife, Dana, and I have been married for 33 years.
• We have four children.
• Will lives close to us and is back on the farm full time with his main focus on hog and sheep production.
• Ashley and her husband, Kent, live in Wylie, Texas where they have two boys. Kent is an engineer and Ashley is a registered nurse.
• Our two youngest boys are twins. (Tyler & Tanner)
• Tyler is a senior at San Angelo State University.
• Tanner and his wife Samantha are both completing their Masters Degree at Texas A&M.
• Our farm, Wintex Farms, currently runs 125 sows that are both pure and crosses for show pig production. We also maintain 175-200 ewes for club lamb production. I have always had a passion for good livestock.

Working for a company with the nutrition research and support staff that Sunglo has is not only exciting, but makes it possible for good livestock to achieve their genetic potential in an efficient manner.
